Dog Boarding Regulations

Dog Boarding Regulations

We want to ensure that you and your dog enjoy a happy and healthy stay at Hayfield Manor. The following regulations are in place to ensure that this is the case;

  • Only healthy dogs free from signs and symptoms of infectious and contagious disease, fleas, ear mites and worms can be accepted.
  • Each dog must have a current certificate of vaccination against kennel flu.
  • Each dog will be housed individually.
  • Only neutered males can be accommodated.
  • We can supply food except for specific veterinary prescribed food for medical purposes, e.g. for allergies or urinary calculi - about which we should be advised.  Please note that the hotel's approved Vet has recommended that the owner brings the dog's usual food with them as some dogs can be sensitive to dietary changes.
  • No personal bedding or blankets can be accepted in the kennels.
  • Although we love dogs, not all our guests do and therefore dogs are not permitted in the hotel's internal public areas.
  • Hotel guests are required to keep their own transport cages.

It is our intention to maintain the facilities for our canine guests at Hayfield Manor Cork City to the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Even under these circumstances some dogs may develop clinical problems while in our care.  In the case that your dog requires veterinary assistance, we will be happy to arrange a visit from Hayfield Manor's preferred Veterinary Clinic, Gilabbey Veterinary Hospital or alternatively your own veterinary surgeon may attend to them.
