Although always proud to be Irish, St. Patrick's Day gives us the opportunity annually to celebrate it! The 17th March sees the people of Ireland take to the streets to celebrate our Patrons Saint's Day, St. Patrick. Colourful parades are held the length and breadth of Ireland, and local events are held in honour of St Patrick, who is said to have rid Ireland of a plague of snakes.
Why not visit Cork for St. Patrick's Day 2017 to celebrate all things Irish with us. Soak up the festive atmosphere of the vibrant city of Cork, as you enjoy the colours, rhythms, sights and sounds of the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Be sure to take time to visit the St Patrick's Day street markets, where you can sample the fare of many local artisan food producers, and purchase some original art & craft creations for souvenir gifts for your loved ones at home.
After the St Patrick's day festivities, why not return to Hayfield Manor Hotel to experience our truly welcoming Irish hospitality and 5 star luxury. Sample a pint of the 'black stuff' in the Manor Bar and follow through to Perrotts Garden Bistro or Orchids Restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious 4 course dinner. We will also have live traditional Irish music at the hotel during the evening. Choose to indulge in our "Green Tea", Hayfield Manor's Award Winning White Glove Afternoon Tea with a special St. Patrick's Day twist, served in the beautiful surrounds of Orchids Restaurant to the subtle tones of a classical piano. This will feature treats such as Hayfield Manor's Porter Cake, Tri-Colour Cupcakes and Whiskey Cheesecake.
We will also be running a special along side our classic restaurant menus on the night which will offer delicious Tri-Style Oysters: Harty's Gigas Oysters, Galway Native Oysters and Kelly's Brandy Bay Gigas Oysters. These will be served with Tabasco, Shallott Dressing and Murphy's Brown Bread along with a glass of Guinness.
