In November 2014, The Scally family, became the proud owners and custodians of  their third hotel, The Malton Killarney. This is a beautiful 4 star Victorian hotel dating back to 1854.The Malton, Killarney’s premier historic hotel, has been a favourite destination for over 160 years, with its distinctive architecture, effortless service and genuine hospitality. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the vibrant Killarney town while also being nestled within 6 acres of beautiful gardens away from the hustle and bustle. Originally opened as The Railway Hotel in 1854 & later to become The Great Southern Hotel in the early 1900’s & now The Malton since 2006, it has indeed a long history & retains the original features & wonderful architecture of those Victorian times.

 

Today The Malton Killarney is lead with a renewed passion and a commitment to excellence by The Scally family who are determined to fully restore its rightful place as the premier historic hotel in Killarney. The Scally Family are delighted that each of their four children are continuing in the family tradition by leading the teams in each historic properties, with son Brian Scally the General Manager at The Malton.
