This Wine Society Evening will focus entirely on a tantalizing selection of wines from the renowned Villa Maria Estate in New Zealand. Proudly family and New Zealand owned, Villa Maria Estate was established in 1961. Among numerous accolades and awards, Villa Maria Estate also bears claim to being the first winery in the country to employ professional viticulturalists. Such has been the success of this label, Villa Maria Estates is now recognised as New Zealand's Most Awarded Winemaker.
Presenting the wines on the evening is Penny Fear. Penny, who holds a BA in Modern Languages from Sheffield University, speaks French, German, Russian and Italian. With a decade of experience in the wine industry, Penny also boasts a fluency in the language of grapes and viticulture!
This exclusive event begins at 7.00pm. To initiate proceedings, aperitifs and canapés shall be served to accompany an introduction to the wines. Dinner shall then commence at 7.30pm. Our Executive Chef, Graeme Campbell, has carefully created a five course menu designed to perfectly complement the selection of elegant wines chosen to be showcased on the night.
Connoisseurs seeking to expand their knowledge of wine, or enthusiasts who simply love sampling new and exciting vintages, will relish this special event, part of a series of Wine Society evenings to be held at Hayfield Manor.
