Flooding in Cork

What a few days! The entire country has been affected by torrential rainfall, and as a result there has been flooding in many areas.

Never wanting to be outdone, Cork has 'severe flooding!' Although a large portion of the city is indeed under water, I'm glad to report that Hayfield Manor remains unaffected, and better still, accessible!

Some of the main routes into the city have been closed this morning, and as a result some of the usual directions to Hayfield Manor have been affected. However, we have updated locations for all routes on our locations page, and we are always happy to talk through directions on the phone with any of our guests who are concerned about their journey.

There's still lots to do in the city, although some of the smaller side streets have been closed, Patricks Street (and the shops!) are open, and just outside the city there is a wealth of activities to keep you occupied - just ask our concierge team for some ideas.

We wish our guests traveling to us today a safe journey, and look forward to welcoming you to Hayfield Manor, where you will be greeted by a friendly face, glowing fires and gorgeous Christmas Decorations! (yes, I'm still Very excited about the decorations!)
