Happy Summer everyone! How great has it been seeing the sun shining in Cork for........wait for it.........5 days!
I hope you're all out enjoying this great weather, who know's what we'll have to look forward to this time next week.
I've been a bit slow to write recently, but forgive me, it's been a very busy few weeks at Hayfield Manor! We enjoyed a wonderful easter weekend, with the Manor full to the brim of people celebrating the season with a well deserved break away. We had a really great looking Easter display in the lobby, which on further inspection turned out to be completely edible! You can imagine the temptation walking past throughout the day. I think some people without my enviable willpower couldn't resist though, as by the end of the week the display was notably smaller!
We had plenty of junior guests at Hayfield Manor also over the Easter weekend, and we held a very exciting Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, which became a frenzy of elbows and knees peeking out from under bushes as kids burrowed - literally - for tasty treats!
Myself and fellow Sales Team colleagues attended a fundraising tablequiz last night to help raise funds for Haven, an organisation building housing in Haiti. Although not one of the winners on the night, we had great fun taking part. And in our defense, the questions were tough! (that's our excuse and we're sticking to it!) And finally, well done to Paul, our Assistant Director of Sales, who took part in the UCC Carmel Lynch Memorial 10K run last Sunday. He ran the 10K in a great time, exhausted by the end, and I myself was pretty tired after all the clapping from the sideline!
