This weekend, the inaugural Paddy Games will be held at the Mardyke Arena in Cork city. in development since 2007, the Paddy Games is inspired by Ireland and runs (backwards) with the motto of Taking Silly Very Seriously! The games invite entrants from all around the world to represent their country in events that you don't see every day in recognized athletic competitions. Events such as 'Egg & Spoon Race', 'Three Legged Race', 'Blindfold Dash' and 'Irish Dancing Hurdles', the day is sure to be belly-achingly funny for participants and spectators alike.
Participants have the opportunity to return home with Gold and become local heros.
Dubbed the 'common mans' games and sure to be a great success, this event takes place for one day only at the Mardyke Arena, on Saturday 14th August from 11a.m. Be sure to get there early so you don't miss out on any of the fun.
