In the spotlight this Saturday is Algis Petruskas, recent recipient of our coveted Employee of the Quarter award. Originally hailing from Lithuania’s third largest city, Klaipeda, Algis relocated to Ireland in 2010. He has since fallen in love with his adopted home city of Cork and added much to the Hayfield hub during his three years of service. Always ready with a smile and to lend a helping hand, Algis is a firm favourite within all departments. A truly multi-talented porter, Algis focuses on ensuring that conference events run smoothly, that guest’s baggage is delivered promptly and that he arrives within seconds of being paged regardless of what wing of the building he is in!
In addition to indoor duties, Algis is also skilled in the art of gardening which comes in most useful for maintaining our flowerbeds, trees and surrounding gardens.
Most of all he is cool under pressure and his positive demeanor is appreciated by guests and colleagues alike. No surprises then that he did earn Employee of the Quarter! Congratulations Algis - here’s to many more happy years in Hayfield Manor
