Hayfield Manor the Mercy Foundation join forces to raise funds for the out reach programme for children with leukaemia.

We are delighted to confirm that the Mercy Foundation is Hayfield Manor's preferred charity for 2014.

On Tuesday the 12th November we held our first charity event for the Mercy Foundation on the grounds of UCC campus, with the aim of raising much needed funds for the Mercy Foundation’s outreach programme for children with leukaemia.

This event was generously supported by the staff & students who came en force to support the charity and to sample Hayfield Manor’s famous dark chocolate brownies and creamy hot chocolate. Thankfully it was a huge success raising just over €1,000 for the charity.

This is the first of a number of planned fundraising events to support the Mercy Foundations outreach programme for children with leukaemia.

The Mercy University Hospital Foundation fundraises to provide better quality home care, via their Mobile Nursing Outreach Service, to children suffering from leukaemia and to their families within their homes. The aim of the outreach programme is to shorten hospital stays and to enhance quality of life for all the family.

Our staff are inspired and motivated to supporting such a worthy cause and we look forward to other such fundraising activities throughout 2014.
